Le RETROPOLITAIN
A project blending Swing, Classical music et Electro music, played on acoustic instruments (Piano, contrabass, violon, drums...). It was a project with an emphasis on the immersion and the visual aspects. The musicians were also the crew of an imaginary train. During a show there was skits between the songs with a lot of interaction with the audience. Le RETROPOLITAIN had a very positive feedback from the French-Speaking Steampunk and Dieselpunk community.
I was in charge of composition, graphic design, web communication and artistic direction. I had the chance to be assisted by a team of musicians, technicians and administrative of a dozen of people.
After an EP, Shows, and many interventions in Geek Conventions Le RETROPLITAIN journey reach its end .

My Reggae
& Modern Music past
During 10 years I played in many Reggae and Modern Music band. I played trumpet but also Hammond Organ. Bringing a Blues feeling, I was often involved in the "on the spot" composition of the music of those different projects.
Jazz Arrangement Formation
With the lessons of Laurent Colombani I learnt how to arrange for Big-Band at the CRR of
Cergy. Thoses skills were very usefull in my Modern music career.
Jazz Pianist
I also learnt Jazz Piano at the CRR of Cergy with Olivier Léger. It improved a lot my improvisation skills, and my swing... not so far from that notes inégales in Baroque music!
